Integrating Findhelp with Your System

Findhelp can easily connect with your existing systems, like your Electronic Health Record (EHR) or other care management platforms. This integration creates a smooth experience for your team.

They can search for community resources and manage referrals without ever leaving the system they use every day. This saves time and makes it easier to help the people you serve. There are several ways to integrate findhelp with your system. We have different options available to fit your needs.

Launch Integration

With our Standard Integration, you can use the full power of findhelp without ever leaving your main system. This allows your staff to find programs, connect people to services, and close the loop all in one place.

Our standard integration works by using special links that can be turned into buttons within your system. These buttons can launch users directly into:

  • Needs Assessment: Navigate to a specific assessment form to help validate a client's needs and their eligibility for programs.

  • Program Search: Search for programs in general, or on behalf of a specific person.

  • Client Profile: View referrals and other navigation information for a specific person.

This integration saves staff time by automatically filling in forms with a client's information. You can also set up a sister community site that allows the people you serve to find resources on their own and log in to view their own referrals.

Application Programming Interface (API) Integration

For organizations seeking a highly customized experience, our Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) are the best solution. APIs allow your developers to seamlessly connect findhelp with your existing applications. We offer a suite of APIs that use a simple JSON format, making integration quick and efficient.

1. Programs API: The programs API allows you to leverage the nation's largest social care network by creating your own search experience. Your developers can use it to build a search feature right on your website or pull program information directly into your care management system.

The API offers powerful search options, including:

  • Keywords: Search using a free-text search bar.
  • Categories: Search using specific category tags.
  • Eligibility: Search based on specific criteria.

2. Referrals API: The referrals API lets you manage referrals within your own system. You can use your Findhelp platform to make and track referrals, and then use the API to view and update them directly from your care platform.

This API allows you to:

  • Create referrals: Send live referrals to community programs.
  • Get referrals: Retrieve the latest information on any referral.
  • Update status: "Close the loop" on social care needs by updating the status of a referral.

Native Integration

The Epic Native integration lets you access Findhelp resources directly within your Epic "Coordinated Care" module. This is ideal for users who do all their work inside Epic, as it provides a seamless experience in a familiar interface.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Single Sign-On (SSO) is an optional feature that lets your staff log into findhelp automatically after they've signed into your organization's system. It's a powerful tool that means no more passwords to remember!

We support the following SSO technologies:

  • Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML): An open standard that allows a user to log into one application and gain access to others.
  • SMART on FHIR: An open standard used by Electronic Health Records (EHR) to securely exchange user account and permission information.

Customer SQL Database Integration

We offer a way for you to get a regularly updated copy of your data from Findhelp. This deeper access allows you to use your preferred analytics platform to:

  • Create custom reports using standard database tools.
  • Import raw data directly into your own analytics platform.
  • Integrate with other systems in your environment through bulk import.

Please note: Any user account on your platform that needs to access Findhelp resources must also have an active Findhelp customer subscription.
