Authorizing Referrals 

Referrals made through the NWF Health Connects Reimbursement workflow must be approved by a supervisor before they are visible on the program provider's dashboard.

Your organization can use one or all of the three available approval options, depending on its structure. If an approval option does not apply to you, you can mark it as N/A. NWF will manage their referral approval field directly.

Referral Authorization Notifications

 

 

When a referral is submitted by one of your case managers, you will get a notification email.

 

This will tell you who submitted the request, general referral information, and the requested service. There will be a button that directs you to authorize the referral.

Clicking on it will take you to your referral authorization dashboard.

 

 

 

Authorizing a Referral

Your referral authorization dashboard will also be available by going to your staff site and clicking on People I'm Helping and then Referral Authorization

 

The Authorization Work Queue 

     A. A link to the seeker profile
     B. A link to the referral screener
     C. Authorization status queues
     D. Final referral approval

 

 

 

To send this referral to the Contracted Network Provider, all of the authorization status field must be changed to either authorized or not applicable.

 

 

Once the statuses are set, then click on Approve.
